What are some of the most important things you are looking for in summer basketball camps?
We have junior and elite level basketball camps for boys and girls ages 7-16 all over Mass and Southern NH.
All programs will have high quality individual basketball instruction (limited to 30 participants per session)!
Our summer basketball camps have these characteristics:
- High quality basketball teaching and instruction
- A place where you can drop your child off for several hours, where you know they’ll have fun and improve
- A place where your child can make new friends and stay active
Premier Hoops offers some of the best basketball camps around.
We have coaches who have played at the D1-D2-D3 college level and are now full-time skills trainers.
All of our coaches are also trained on the Premier Hoops Skills System that focuses on developing the fundamentals first such as:
- Ball-handling strength / confidence
- Shooting / footwork
- Defense / court IQ
- Passing, dribble moves and other guard skills
Morning Skills | During the course of each morning of our summer basketball camps, we focus on doing dynamic stretches and skills training.
After skills games | After working on the fundamental skills, we split our players up by age and skills level and play mini games. These games are 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 to make sure:
- Each player gets a lot of chance to touch the ball and practice their skills in a game setting
- The coach can stop the game at any time.
Each coach will teach basketball principles such as: proper court spacing, defensive skills, basic offensive plays (pick & rolls, give and goes, etc.)
- Players are not standing around on the side-line doing nothing
Skills Competitions | One of the incredibly unique thing about our summer basketball camps are the fun skills competitions that the kids get to play such as: knock-out, hot shots, lay-up challenge, passing relay and many more!
Afternoon skills | In the afternoons of many of our summer basketball camps, we practice more fundamental skills such as:
- Foul shooting
- Finishing at the rim
- Mid-range shooting
- Shooting off of the dribble
End of day scrimmaging | To finish the day, we play full court scrimmages. These games include everybody at camp and are very fun!
During the course of each scrimmage, the coach will teach kids how to play the game the right way. Coaches on a occasion, may stop the game and teach kids proper fundamental basketball principles!
