In the News:

On Tuesday June 7th, three days before his 29th birthday, Matt Wetherbee suffered a significant spinal cord injury while playing basketball. He is currently paralyzed from the chest down. Matt, his family, and friends are all determined and hopeful that he can make a full recovery. We all know that he has a long and challenging road ahead of him. The MW Fund was established to support his recovery process.

For those of you not fortunate enough to know Matt, he is genuine, funny, compassionate, selfless and warm-hearted. In his job before his accident, Matt worked tirelessly for the benefit of numerous charitable organizations. Originally from Marblehead, Massachusetts, Matt attended James Madison University where he completed both his undergraduate and Master’s degree in Sports Management. After college, Matt met the love of his life, Kaitlyn Kiely in the summer of 2011. The two have been inseparable ever since. He is a huge fan of all Boston sports teams, an avid athlete, and loves playing basketball and golf.
