Questions? Well Call You!
Parents please remember that age is a guideline and you know your child better than anyone.
Please bring your child to the correct division based on skill level / ability.
Your child will get to work on skills, play in non-stop games for at least one hour per session and our coaches will also be able to stop play and give pointers on many different things!
During each Winter Basketball Skills Session:
-Private skills instruction | At each session players receive individual skills coaching and tips from some of the best basketball coaches in New England (Former D1 and Professional Players on staff).
-Skills & Games | Workouts are split into half skill development (ball-handling, passing, shooting, footwork and defense) and half of scrimmaging.
-There is always at least a 1 to 6 coach to player ratio. The more players that sign up, the more coaches we add.
Each skills night is divided into skill development and mini-scrimmage games, where players will work on drills to improve their on-court game.
– Ball Handling / Strengthening drills
– Passing drills
– Shooting instruction
– Advice/instruction on how to make close shots (finishing at basket)
– 1v1 defense
– Team defense
– Proper court spacing
– Pick-in roll and give-go offense
During each Pre-Winter Skills League Session, coaches will be evaluating players and giving advice on:
-Proper court spacing
-Man to man offense/defense
-If players have specific questions for coaches on how to do moves, get open, footwork, or anything else… our coaches will take the time to individually explain everything to the player!
ABOUT EACH WINTER BASKETBALL DIVISION:
It all starts w/ the young ones!!
During these classes, players learn about the rules of the game and other basketball facts!
Classes consist of stretching, jumping, ball-coordination drills, passing, shooting and real scrimmaging!!!
Jr. / Intermediate Division:
Focuses on taking a step-up in skills and drills.
Many of our jr. youth basketball players will learn new drills, but also get to play games against each other.
About 30-35 minutes of each session focuses on the basketball skills fundamentals.
The remaining time is used to put these skills into use by playing games!
These players have been training and playing basketball for a while now and know what it takes to lift their game up!
During the course of this program, each player will be pushed to reach a new level of skills.
The majority of this program focuses on elite drills such as ball-handling, shooting, passing, finishing and more.
We will also scrimmage during each class!
Depending on interest/enrollment, we may change times/locations on the schedule.
